Q3 put more conversation on the board than any quarter since early 2025, with comments leading the climb.
Average per month for each quarter, so a quarter is compared on pace, not on how many days it had. Members traded 8,586 reactions across Q3, and every month of the quarter drew more contributors than the same month of 2025.
Comment depth recovered, but not all the way. Comment depth (the comment-to-post ratio: the average number of replies each new thread draws) climbed to 1.58 in Q3 from Q2's 1.39, its first quarterly rise of 2026, yet still sits just under Q3 2025's 1.65. Volume grew faster than depth.
One number is deliberately missing from this story. Vanilla recorded 385,408 page views in August and 515,899 in September, against 178,523 in July, while searching, posting and commenting moved nowhere near that much. That fingerprint says automated traffic, not readers, so page views sit out the quarter until the source is understood.
Career Community's gap is still replies: 101 new threads across Q3 drew 31 comments. The ratio edged up each month, 0.26, 0.29, then 0.39, but three months in, the threads are landing and the conversation behind them is not yet.
Schweser's first clean year-over-year month is mixed. With its 2025 baseline no longer inflated from September, its comments came in 7% above September 2025 and its posts level, while the number of members talking fell from 138 to 97. That decline is real and is read at face value.
Members are unique people across Vanilla and the Career Center, deduplicated by email. Q3 added 30,747, nearly twice Q2's 16,598. My Inner Genius assessment takers are held out of this count until its owner sends corrected files, so the true total is slightly higher.
A caveat that matters: much of Q3's add is Insurance and Securities role provisioning catching up, four months running now, so it is real membership on the books but not all of it is new people arriving this quarter.
Lead attribution combines three categories: net-new leads, existing leads that had never converted, and past students returning. Year to date they stand at $48,218, $249,095 and $3,321,235.
attributed across July, August and September, 46% above Q2 ($932,417) and nearly three times Q3 2025 ($457,694).
Adoption figures on team pages are September, the latest the data team has delivered, at the team level. Re-purchase reporting is paused for Q3 while it is recalibrated to start at the community launch date. This refresh restated earlier months: August now reads $451,009 and July $454,654.
Q3 was the busiest quarter since early 2025. 1,491 posts and comments a month, up 9% on Q2 and 16% on Q3 2025, with comments leading at 913 a month.
The conversation got deeper and warmer. Comment depth recovered to 1.58 from Q2's 1.39, and reactions ran 35% above Q2 and more than double Q3 2025.
The room held its width; widening it is the Q4 job. 828 different people contributed, level with Q2 and 22% above last year's Q3. The next gain comes from first answers, starting with Career Community's threads.
